Please note that all herbal powders sold are for external uses only and are not for human consumption.

Although herbal powders are generally hypoallergenic, everyone is different so please patch test before use.  For a skin patch test of henna and indigo, mix a very small amount and place on the inside of your arm holding in place with cellophane and then a piece of cloth on top of that to keep in place.  Leave on for 24 hours and then wash off.   If there is no allergic reaction after that time it is fairly safe to use the powders.  Henna and indigo will stain a little but that will fade in time.

To strand test, take a small amount of hair whether from cutting hair ends or from a brush and apply powder paste as per instructions.  Herbal powders can be used on all types of hair and the only concern is the current colour of your hair and the colour you would like to achieve.  These are natural plant powders so you might not achieve the same colour each time although practice does make perfect.
